Samsung’s mid-range A series devices have garnered quite a huge global consumer base and have, in recent years, taken on a design reminiscent of the more premium Galaxy S series. This trend was evident with last year’s Galaxy A54 , which closely resembled the Galaxy S22 , and continues this year with the newly leaked renders for Samsung’s next mid-range A series device, the A55 .

Aside from that, the device features a flat-screen display, which is common for mid-range smartphones. However, the bezels surrounding the display are quite thick, reminiscent of its predecessor. The A55 is expected to be powered by the Exynos 1480 chipset, coupled with 8GB of RAM and storage options of 128GB and 256GB .

The display is a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate (no LTPO) . The rear cameras consist of a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, a 12MP ultrawide sensor, and a 5MP macro sensor. The front-facing camera has a 32MP sensor. As for charging, Samsung still hasn’t adopted higher wattage charging speeds, so the A55 is stuck with a relatively slow 25W charging speed for its decent 5000mAh battery.
